BEST ACHIVEMENTS IN SPORTS COMPETITION

SESSION 2010-2011

• CRICKET :
  • In the Shri Gurudev Gupta Cricket Tournament for U- 16 yr. Boys, 14 teams participated and DPS Bhopal and Indore emerged as winners with the match ending in a tie.
  • In the Captain Mustaq Ali Cricket Tournament, DPS Indore was the winner for three consecutive years and received the Trophy in the name of DPS Indore.DPS Indore has become the 1^st School in Indore to receive this trophy.
  • In the Inter DPS South and central Zone Cricket tournament, DPS Indore students have qualified for the National tournament.
  • Kapil Joshi of class XI has qualified twice in a year, to represent the national team, which is indeed an achievement for DPS Indore.
  • In the S.G.F.I. Cricket tournament for U- 16 yrs. Boys, Inderjeet Bagga qualified for the State level team and for U- 14 yrs. Boys team, Akash Garg and Yash Parikh qualified for the State team.
• FOOTBALL :
  • Our football team, comprising of 16 students from classes VIII to XI, participated in the Choithramaian’s Rendezvous Interschool Football Tournament 2010 organized at Choithram Schools & were the runners up for the competition.
  • At the Sahodaya Samagam Football Tournament, our U-14 and U-16 teams both emerged champions in their respective matches.
  • In the 26th Kasliwal Trophy Open Football Tournament, our foot ball team secured 4th position.
  • Winner Inter DPS U-14 south & central zone football tournament.
  • In the Inter DPS Central and South Zone Football tournament, our team secured 4th position.
• SWIMMING :
  • Our students won 16 Gold, 24 Silver and 16 Bronze medals at District level competitions.
  • In the Basantilalji Memorial Inter School Swimming Competition held at Shishukunj ,our school won the overall runner up trophy with 12 Gold, 11 Silver and 15 Bronze medals.A total of 19 schools with approximately 400 swimmers participated in this Championship.
  • In the School Games Federation of India, M.P. State Swimming Championship held at Bhopal. Aditi Jamkhedkar won 3 Silver medals.
• BASKETBALL :
  • 5 Students participated in the SGFI Basketball State trials 2010 for U-14, U-17, U-19 Boys and Girls & four students got selected for the division team .The students are Nand Gupta, Harsh Wadhwani, Abhimanyu Singh & Kingal Jain.
• SKATING :
  • Our students won 19 Gold, 11 Silver and 12 Bronze medals in the District level games.
  • In the 47th State Level Roller Skating Championship organized by the Roller Skating Federation of India, our team won 12 Gold, 10 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.
  • 9 students were selected for the Nationals of SGFI at Nagpur.
  • In the 56th SGFI Roller Skating Championship, our team won 11 Gold, 10 Silver & 4 Bronze medals. 14 Students have been selected for the State level Championship
  • In the 48th National Roller Speed Skating Championship 8 Students were selected. Taha khan, Aishwarya Neema and Deeksha Matta were selected for the state team.
• EQUESTRIAN:
  • Our riders have won 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in various competitions of Horse riding..
  • In the Silver Jubilee Delhi National Horse Show conducted on 8th April 2010, Akshat Bhati won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal & a prize money of Rs. 40000/- in different events.
  • In the State level Horse Riding Competition conducted on 31st June 2010, organized by the Central India Riding Club, Indore, Akshat Bhati won 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal and Himanshu Kalra won 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals
  • In the State Level Horse Riding competition organized by the Horse Riding Academy, Akshat Bhati won 1 Gold medal.
• VOLLEYBALL :
  • Our Volleyball Girls team participated in the SGFI Board Volleyball Tournament 2010 for U- 14 Girls & U- 17 Girls, U-17 Girls team reached upto quarter finals. Three students - Chandini Gunaparthi, Srishti Sharma and Sheetal Kankaria were selected for the State level Competition where Sheetal Kankaria got third position in the U-17 yr. category
• ATHLETICS :
  • In the CBSE National Athletics Competition, Rounak Sharma - won 5th position in the 400 mtr. race and 7th in the -800 mtr. race, & Aditya Veer Singh won 4th position in the 400 mtr.
  • A team of 12 students participated in the SGFI Inter School Athletics Competition 2010, Our team got 7 Gold, 4 Silver & 3 Bronze medals and five students were selected for the division team. They are-Abhijeet Anand, Saloni Verma, Saloni Dawar, Soumya Unhale & Diksha Kapoor.
  • 5 Students participated in the SGFI Inter Division Athletics Competition 2010 . The team won 6 Gold, 2 Silver & 2 Bronze medals & got selected for the state level team.
  • Our Team of athletes comprising of Soumya Unhale, Aditya Veer Singh & Abhijeet Anand participated in the CBSE Cluster XI Athletics Tournament 2010 . They won 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals and Soumya Unhale and Aditya Veer Singh have been selected for the Nationals,2010.
• LAWN TENNIS :
  • Avi Malhotra, , participated in the SGFI Lawn Tennis Trials Tournament 2010 & was selected for the division team and also selected for the National level.
• TABLE TENNIS :
  • In the CBSE Inter School National Championship for U-17 yrs Girls, , Aanchal Manchanda, Radhika Goyal and Avi Vani reached upto the quarter finals and Aanchal Manchanda got 6th position at All India level. Aanchal Manchanda also represented the Federation Women’s National Championship at Guwahati (Assam).
  • Dewansh More, Vajur Dadich, Alish Khan were selected for the Inter DPS National Table Tennis Competition, organized under the aegis of DPS Society.
  • In the 54th Table Tennis State Championship Federation Tournament, we won 4 Gold & 3 Silver medals. Devansh More & Shrishti Dixit have been selected for the Federation Nationals Championship.
  • Aanchal Manchanda has been selected for Federation Nationals.
  • Aanchal secured 4th position for U-19 in CBSE NATIONALS.
  • In the Mahindra KumarGodha Memorial Inter school Table Tennis Tournament, our team won the gold medal in
    U-14 and also in U-19 girls. Aanchal Manchanda won the gold medal in the individual category. Boys team won the Bronze Medal.
  • In the SGFI for U-19 girls, our team won the silver and for U-14 girls we won the bronze medal
